Preparation For New West Ruwenzori Inauguration Day In High Gear

The inauguration of the new west Rwenzori diocese is set to happen in August and the bishop-elect, the reverend Barnabas Tibeijuka will be consecrated on the same day. Thousands of Christians from this diocese are expected to turn up, but also the clergy from the Anglican church headed by the chief guest, the RT. Rev Dr Steven Samuel Kazimba Mugalu. The state minister for trade hon Ntabazi Harriet is also the chairperson of the planning committee. Has been confirmed that preparations for the d day are underway and a sum of over 500 million is required to make the special day a success.

West Ruwenzori diocese is a new diocese that was Okayed by the House of bishops chaired by the archbishop of Uganda the most rev. Dr Steven Samuel Kazimba Mugalu after over forty years of the members from there, requesting for it. It comprises mainly people from the Bundibugyo district but is not limited to it since some members from Dr Congo are part of it. The new diocese was curved from its mother diocese, Ruwenzori diocese and is awaiting inauguration next month. The preparation for this day is in high gear and hon. Ntabazi Harriet the state minister for trade is chairing the organizing committee notes that this is such a milestone for the people of the west Ruwenzori diocese.

The minister says the people of west Ruwenzori are ready to receive their bishop-elect that day and adds that committees have been formed to ensure smooth operation and implementation of the inauguration. The bishop-elect, Barnabas Tibeijuka will be consecrated on the same day and a budget of a little more than 500m shillings is needed. Minister Ntabazi based on this, called upon her fellow cabinet ministers, colleagues and to support her with funds. She noted that a large part of preparations has been completed, however, the day of inauguration and consecration still need to be funded.

Hon. Ntabazi notes that the diocese has purchased some of the items needed on the d day including the bishop's chair as well as the clothes of the bishop which she refers to as robes excitedly inviting the public to gather in large numbers and a part of the inauguration ceremony but also experience the divorce culture of the people of west Ruwenzori.

The bishop-elect will be cons4crated   on the 27 of August and is expected to oversee a diocese comprising of over 160000 people.
