Rev Canon Jacob Ateirweho Elected 6th Bishop Of The Diocese Of Bunyoro Kitara
The House of Bishops of the Church of Uganda, sitting at the Daniel Uganda Missional Centre in Lweza yesterday, April 17, 2024, has elected Rev. Canon Jacob Ateirweho as the 6th Bishop of the Diocese of Bunyoro Kitara.
He will be consecrated and enthroned as the 6th Bishop on August 11, 2024, at St Peter's Cathedral, Hoima.
Rev Canon Jacob Ateirweho was born on August 24th, 1968, in Hoima Hospital, Hoima District.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his savior on April 5, 1991. He was ordained a deacon on February 5, 2006, and priested on July 23, 2006.
He is married to Irene Kobusinge and God has blessed them with 5 Biological Children.
Rev Canon Jacob Ateirweho holds a Bachelor's Degree in Divinity from Uganda Christian University.
He is currently the Vicar of All Saints Church, Hoima Town Parish, in the Diocese of Bunyoro Kitara.
