River Kafu Busts At The Boarder Of Hoima-kyankwanzi

Transport has been paralyzed on the Hoima – Kampala High Way following the flooding of River Kafu.
The River that last flooded in 2015 separates the two Districts of Hoima and Kyankwazi. Motorists using the Hoima- Kampala have been cut off by the floods.
Some of the passengers who were heading to Kampala were found stuck at the River by press time.

Dauda Kaahwa a resident of Kyankwanzi and Muhamad Seguya a Driver revealed that they were heading to Kyankwanzi to get some food for their families but they discovered that the river had flooded.

Residents and Passengers say, they used the same route in the morning when they were going to Hoima but got surprised in the evening when they found the River submerged.

However, Patrick Bogere the Hoima District Police Commander has advised Motorists to use alternative routes until the water stabilizes.
