Sanjah Pledges To Lobby For Equal Opportunity For Local Business Communities In Uganda

Sanjah Tanna, a prominent businessman and aspiring candidate for the National Chairperson of the NRM Entrepreneurs League, has pledged to advocate for equal opportunities for local business communities across Uganda.

Tanna made the commitment during a meeting with NRM Entrepreneurs League delegates from the Teso sub-region in Soroti City.

Sanjah Tanna, an Eastern Uganda-based businessman, met with NRM Entrepreneurs League delegates from the Teso sub-region at Hyde Park in Soroti City as part of his campaign trail for the national chairperson race.

Tanna is among eight contenders vying for the leadership of the NRM Entrepreneurs League; other candidates include Hassan Basajabalaba, King Ceasor, and others.

The meeting was attended by all the NRM Entrepreneurs delegates from the Teso subregion.

In his address, Tanna pledged to lobby the government for equal business opportunities for all Ugandan entrepreneurs, especially those operating at the grassroots.

Sanjah Tanna urged the delegates to assess all the aspiring candidates carefully and choose someone who is down-to-earth and accessible.
He also launched a WhatsApp group to enable delegates to share business ideas and stay connected

However, Tanna appealed to entrepreneurs to stay organized, emphasizing that doing so would make it easier for them to access government support and donor funding. He noted that, as an NRM cadre with strong connections, he is well-positioned to facilitate such support.

Tanna cautioned the delegates against voting for candidates who campaign with promises of money and temporary excitement but lack clear ideas or a solid vision.
He also noted that his team has gained support from several regions, including Western Uganda, West Nile, Busoga, and Lango, among others.

Titus Okello, Chairperson of the Entrepreneurs League in Katakwi, urged NRM delegates to vote for Sanjah Tanna, describing him as a dependable and genuine entrepreneur with a clear vision.

Charles Opio, an NRM delegate from Katakwi, stated that he will listen to all the aspirants’ manifestos before making his final decision.
