Thuggery In Hoima City: State Attorney Robbed, Files Burnt

According to The Albertine Region Police Spokesperson ASP Julius Allan Hakiza, un-known people collected files from the office of the Hoima Senior Resident State Attorney before burning them.

The police officer who was supposed to be on duty has been arrested as investigations take shape.

The Kikuube District Vice Chairperson LC Five Opio Vincent refers to the incident as a big setback that is likely to create a case backlog.

Opio now wants the judiciary to better security at respective judicial offices.

The fire brigade and rescue team put out the fire before it could spread to other offices.

Efforts to speak to the Hoima Senior Resident State Attorney, Julius Ocen were futile as he refused to speak to us.
