Uganda spearheads EAC School Anthem composure

The Minister for East African Affairs and First Deputy Prime Minister Rt. Hon Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga yesterday launched Uganda’s commencement of composing the East African School’s Anthem.

Kadaga appreciated the work done by the UPDF band in initiating the idea and commencing the writing of the anthem.

Rtd. Colonel Ateenyi Ssentogo the man behind the idea of composing the East African School Anthem and Ntwatwa Kizito the speaker of the state public inter university assembly have today been appreciated by the minister for east African affairs Rt. Hon Rebecca Kadaga for the wonderful thought and deed

The Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of East African Community Affairs, Ms Edith Mwanje, has expressed gratitude to the team that offered to compose the anthem and said the next step is to ensure the rest of the East African states are aware of this innovation that has been birthed by Uganda.

According to Ntwatwa Kizito, who played a role in composing the anthem, he drew inspiration from the togetherness exhibited by the East African countries

Minister Kadaga is hopeful that the anthem is a good opportunity to sensitize the world concerning the East African Community

The minister has pledged to engage the Council of ministers in Arusha to support Uganda’s cause to have the dream of the East African School Anthem come true.
