Uganda To Host The 8th African Evaluation Conference 2024

From the 19th to the 23rd of August 2024, the African Evaluation Association (AfrEA) will host the 8th African Evaluation Conference 2024, jointly with the Uganda Evaluation Association and the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM)

The conference will take place at the Uganda Management Institute in Kampala, Uganda under the theme “: empowering accountable learning for achieving development goals and enhancing climate change.

This conference aims at creating a platform where stakeholders can share experiences and insights from evaluations that contribute to reaching national targets under national development program 2.

During a media conference held at the Uganda Media Centre, the president of the Uganda Evaluation Association Lubuulwa Matthew said that the Government is proud and honoured to host this international conference in Uganda that marks the development of the evaluation profession and practice in this country and the region for Uganda’s 2024 vision aiming to elevate the country towards middle-income status

The conference will be taking place on 21st August 2024.

It's stated that the conference is to also to explore and promote practices that enhance learning and foster stronger synergies between local practitioners and international evaluation actors

He voiced the objectives which the Uganda Evaluation Conference 2024 aims to achieve

Lubuulwa further clarified the development theme with purpose, highlighting the crucial role of accountable learning in achieving development goals and climate resilience.

The conference will attract a diverse group of participants including practitioners from government, civil society, and private sectors and it will be officiated by Rt.Hon. Robinah nabbanja the prime minster
