ULGA President Calls For An End To Youth Resentment In The Country
The president of Uganda Local Government Association has called for an end to resettlement which has prevailed among most youth in the country challenging them to embrace positive change in their lives.
Richard Rwabuhinga said this during the official closing of the five-day Patriotism training for the 590 students from Kichwamba Technical College in Kabarole district.
Because of different factors affecting youth, they have been hugely affected and forced to resettle in different areas. This was during the official closing of the five-day Patriotism training for the 590 students from Kichwamba Technical College in Kabarole district.
The ULGA president who also doubles as the Kabarole district chairperson says the youth should instead find solutions to the challenges facing them. Rwabuhinga says the youth should instead focus their minds on the positives. According to him, the issues that unite them are far more than the things that divide them.
The five-day Patriotism training aimed at inculcating discipline among the students and also enabling them to be true to their country. Rwabuhinga says this will enable them to respect diversity in the country.
Papa Deo Sebulima, the Principal officer in charge of Information, and communication for Patriotism in charge of the office of the prudent lashed out at the program critics who say it is characterized by sectarianism tendencies.
According to him, patriotism training in all government institutions is nonpolitical and tribal.
