Unity And Support Shine In St. Peter's Cathedral Nyakatare Roofing Project
To clarify the situation regarding the offering of iron sheets by Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, during Bishop Dan Zoreka's Thanksgiving service, it's important to note that the church did not reject the generous offer. Dr. James Musinguzi Garuga, a Christian, had already purchased the iron sheets for St. Peter's Cathedral.
A certain media house's report suggesting that the church rejected Dr Chris Baryomunsi's iron sheets is not accurate. The church simply acknowledged the existing contribution from Dr James Musinguzi Garuga and encouraged the Minister to support the roofing project financially, given the significant cost involved.
On Sunday the 5th Of November, Bishop Dan Zoreka of The Diocese of Kinkiizi gave thanks to the Lord for the 13 years he has so far been in service. All the funds collected during this service were dedicated to roofing St Peter's Cathedral Nyakatare.
During the service, Dr Chris Baryomunsi, the Minister for ICT and National Guidance, made a generous offer to provide iron sheets for the entire church's roofing. A remarkable gesture that was met with applause from the congregation.
Shortly after Dr. Chris's announcement, Bishop Dan Zoreka came to clarify the situation and his statement aimed to ensure transparency and gratitude for the existing contribution of Dr James Musinguzi Garuga and not to bring any confusion after the service
Dr. Chris Baryomunsi came back and made a generous contribution of 20 million ugx in cash.
The Bishop on the other hand has come out and clarified the matter following a certain media house’s report that stating on the contrary that the church REJECTED the iron sheets from Dr Chris Baryomunsi which was very false.
