We Can Thrive Without Foreign Donations - Archbishop Kaziimba

The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, His Grace, The Most Rev. Dr. Samuel Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu believes the Church of Uganda can thrive without strings-attached donations from the West.

He said this while on the consecration and dedication of St.Francis Kakureiju C.OU a church which was single-handedly built by the family of Esero and Esther Musoke children of Mzee Francis and Kaaka Ruth Kanyaruharo. 

The Archbishop Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu said Ugandans have the capacity to do everything for their churches and develop this country without necessarily engaging in homosexual practices.

He further noted that we should fight against corruption, be hardworking people as well and remember and serve God to bring a positive change in this country. 

The guest of Honor who was Hon. Dr. Ruth Nankabirwa Sentamu -Minister of Energy and Mineral Development said

The Bishop of the Diocese of Kinkiizi, The Rt. Rev. Dan Zoreka appreciated the Archbishop for accepting to visit the Diocese of Kinkiizi for this special dedication service and hailed the great family of Kanyaruharo for the great zeal shown in constructing this beautiful church of God. 

Present at this function were the area Woman MP Hon. Patient Kinshaba Nkunda, District LC5 Chairman Eng. Sam Kajojo, Dr. James Musinguzi Garuga, Can. Frank Twine, and other many dignitaries from all over the Diocese and the country at large. 

Madam Esther Musoke who is behind the sole construction of this church thanked the church administration for allowing them to undertake this sacred task hence praising the Lord for Church Planting. She promised to take on the project of constructing the Parish Priest House. 

Hon. Patience Kinshaba Nkunda said she is very happy and blessed to have a developmental team of church leaders. 

In her remarks, Minister Nankabirwa promised to come back following the electricity technical team inspection and then commission constant power in Kanungu. 

She encouraged the Christians to trust God because He has his own formula for working out things. Aware that Kanungu has iron ore deposits she said that they should not worry soon all these will be commissioned. 

 Teaching about the name "Kazimba" translated as a builder, encouraged the Christians to take this Kazimba generation to be a generation of building church projects to completion. 

Mr Esero Musoke promised to fulfil his dream of building a 7-block primary school on Kakureiju Hill.
