160 Graduate Under The CNOOC Welders Training Graduation Ceremony.

Today 160 students from the Albertine region have graduated under The CNOOC International Welders training graduation ceremony.

Students are selected from the region in a bid to create opportunities for the people living close to the oil districts of Hoima Kibale, Kakumiro, Kikuube, and Masindi among others.

The graduation ceremony was honoured by Minister of State for mineral development Hon Peter Lokeris who urged the graduating students to work hard when they get employed.

Sunmaker Oil and Gas Training Institute In Bugolobi has today graduated 160 welders under the CNOOC international welders training graduation ceremony. The event attracted dignitaries like The Minister of State for Mineral Development and The First Secretary of The Chinese Embassy.

The State Minister in his remarks expressed gratitude towards the Chinese organization CNOOC International for Skilling Ugandans at the international level.

Hon Lekoris noted that it is through such Initiatives that the country will achieve its set goals in development.

The First Secretary of the Chinese Embassy Wang Chenxu while at the ceremony expressed China's commitment to developing and supporting Uganda.

Sunmaker Oil and Gas Training Institute started in 2017 and has graduated over five thousand welders.

The Executive Director of Sunmaker Training Institute Ma Bo commended The Government of Uganda for its cooperation and vowed continuous support.

Eric Daniel Jumba the National Content Manager CNOOC International noted that training is aimed at equipping the students with standard knowledge to compete internationally.

Rosbel on behalf of the students appreciated the sponsors as she notes that women are stepping up in every field. She also congratulated her fellow graduands.
