FDC Will Investigate Lukwago-Saleh Feud

The Forum for Democratic Change Party has launched investigations into the alleged working relationship between the FDC Deputy President Erias Lukwago and Chief Coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation Gen. Caleb Akandwanaho alias Salim Saleh.

The decision to investigate the duo’s ties stems from a letter said to have been authored by Salim Saleh in which he said he would withdraw his support to Lukwago.

The FDC party deputy spokesperson John Kikonyogo has disclosed to the media, that the party will investigate the alleged ties between the Lord Mayor of Kampala Erias Lukwago and Salim Saleh.

This was during a press briefing at party headquarters in Najjanankumbi.

On December 30th 2022 after the foiled National Prayer Day at Sharing Hall Nsambya, FDC Deputy President Erias Lukwago blamed Gen Caleb Akandwanaho alias Salim Saleh of state capture and sabotaging opposition activities.

A day later, a letter purported to have been written by Gen Caleb Akandwanaho, rocked both social media platforms and mainstream media indicating that the four star General was bound to withdraw his political support to Lukwago.

In a press conference held at the Mayor’s gardens at City Hall, Lukwago trashed Gen. Saleh’s allegations, calling them crap.

Now, the Forum for Democratic Change, a political party where Lukwago holds a key and sensitive position says they have launched investigations into the feud involving their top leader.

Kikonyo stressed that should Lukwago be found guilty of having any political dealings with Gen. Saleh, the FDC constitution will prevail over his fate.

It’s not the first time controversy has rocked the Forum for Democratic, ahead of the 2021 General elections, former Party President General Gregory Mugisha Muntu was accused of working for the ruling NRM.
