Former Kigata Students Launch Drive to Improve School Infrastructure: Donate 120 Single-Seater Chairs for Students. Pledge to Support School Through Mentorship

Former students of Kigata High School have donated 120 single-seater chairs to their former school as part of a wider campaign to improve learning conditions and motivate current students to excel academically.

The alumni say the donation is the first phase of a larger plan to provide 400 chairs while continuing to support the school through mentorship and infrastructure development.

Kigata High School has received a boost after its former students donated 120 single-seater chairs to improve the learning environment and encourage academic excellence.

The chairperson, Syson Mwebaze, revealed that the association has set a target of donating a total of 400 single-seater chairs to address the school’s seating needs.

He noted that the current donation is only one of several interventions the alumni have undertaken to improve the school’s infrastructure and learning environment.

The Mobilizer of the Kigata High School Old Students Kabale Chapter, Mercy Beinomugisha, said the alumni’s return to the school was not only to donate chairs but also to inspire the current learners.

She urged students to remain focused on their studies, saying education has the power to transform lives and open doors to greater opportunities

Receiving the donation, the head teacher of Kigata High School, Richard Byembabazi, expressed gratitude to the alumni for their continued support, describing the contribution as timely and significant in improving the welfare of learners.

The donation by Kigata High School’s old students adds to a growing trend of alumni associations supporting their former schools through infrastructure development, scholarships, and mentorship initiatives aimed at improving educational standards and creating a better learning environment for future generations.
